My Father Le Bijou 100 Años Corona Especial (6.5×44)

Price range: £13.99 through £277.19

In 2009, Don José “Pepín” Garcia honored his own father by naming a cigar after the year he was born — 1922. The Le Bijou, French for “the jewel,” became one of the most celebrated and decorated blends in the entire Garcia family catalog. The 100 Años Corona Especial takes that legacy one step further, built specifically to honor the centennial birthday of José Garcia Alayón, the father of Pepín and the patriarch behind three generations of Garcia family excellence.

This is a slightly modified version of the core Le Bijou 1922 blend, built entirely from tobaccos grown on the Garcia family’s own farms at San Rafael, Las Quebradas, and San José in Nicaragua. The wrapper leaf is the Garcia family’s signature Habano My Father Oscuro, an extraordinarily dark leaf that Pepín’s team puts through a special fermentation process to unlock its full depth and complexity. The result is a medium-to-full body Nicaraguan puro with notes of dark chocolate, espresso, leather, cedar, stone fruit, and warm pepper spice that builds gracefully across the long, elegant 6.5-inch Corona Especial format. The pigtail cap and orange silk foot band printed with “100 Años” mark it immediately as something special. Limited to just 1,922 boxes of 22 cigars. The number means everything here.
